Developed in collaboration with Sonic Tools, this program introduces a Tool Retention Component, elevating employee loyalty and ensuring long-term retention.
How Does the TRP Work?
Building upon the foundation of TCP training, graduates are equipped with a Sonic Quick Lane 190 Piece Tool cart. It is still referred to as ‘Quick Lane’ set – we refer to it as ‘190-Piece Quick Service Toolset and Cart’
This not only empowers them with the tools necessary to excel but also ties them into a 24-month employment commitment. Should they honor this commitment, the tools and cart become theirs to keep.
Why This Matters:
Many new technicians face financial barriers in acquiring essential tools. A dealership’s investment of $2,766 for the toolset in exchange for a 24-month commitment results in mutual benefits.

Every technician who successfully completes the TCP training is rewarded with a TCP/Sonic membership code. This entitles them to a 10% discount on future tool purchases, ensuring they’re well-equipped while preventing potential debts from tool trucks.
